We're open seven days a week, starting at 8 AM most days, so whether you're a morning commuter, a weekend errand-runner, or stopping in after a museum visit at the Met, we're here.

Walk-In Tips — What to Know Before You Come In
- Best times for shortest wait: Weekday mornings (8–10 AM) and early afternoons are typically the quickest. Saturdays can get busy by midday.
- Calling ahead is always smart: You can't "reserve" a spot as a walk-in, but calling (212) 794-3267 lets you know roughly how long the wait is before you make the trip.
- Appointments also available: If you want to lock in a specific time, you can always book online. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome equally.
- Last walk-in: We accept our last walk-in about 30 minutes before closing. If you're cutting it close, give us a quick call.

Why Locals Choose City Barbers for Walk-Ins
There are a handful of barbershops on the Upper East Side, but City Barbers has been a neighborhood fixture at 223 E 74th St since 1972. Walk-in clients keep coming back because the cuts are consistent, the barbers are experienced, and the shop has the kind of lived-in, welcoming feel that only comes with decades on the same block. No gimmicks, no long waits for a "consultation" — just a great haircut, every time.
